Our Love Story
Our love story unfolded naturally, in true friendship and the comfort of simply being together. Over the years, our friendship slowly and unexpectedly grew into what has become a love story filled with adventure, intention, and comedy. We are best friends, soulmates, and partners. We believe that choosing each other every day is one of life's many precious gifts and we feel so fortunate to have the pleasure of blazing this blessed road together!
Over the past four years, we have traveled all over the world and grown closer in remarkable places. Our first meaningful journey, aside from our common weekly trips to Costco, was to Portugal in 2022. For Joanna, every visit felt like a homecoming. For Greg, it was his first introduction to the culture, language, and beauty of the country—and the food. Love at first bite!
As our journey continued, our families came to know and love one another. Having lived a full life before finding each other, we feel deeply grateful to experience new milestones and firsts together.
In June 2025, during an impromptu trip to Curaçao, Greg proposed. Completely unexpectedly, it happened on "Dia dos Namorados," Valentine's Day in Joanna's homeland of Brazil. It was unplanned and perfectly "us."
Now, we return to Portugal—where so much of our story began—to celebrate a love we freely choose, today and always. We can't wait to celebrate our love and marriage with our closest friends and family!
